海事博物館
有著一艘六萬級的豪華客船外觀的海事大型博物館，內部以模型與實物深入淺出地介紹各型船隻歷史與各種海洋知識。在科學館旁停泊著兩艘船，其中一艘是在昭和 卅年代活躍於青森及函館門的聯絡客船「羊蹄丸」，充滿不可思議的冒險浪漫情境。而另一艘則是南極觀測艇「宗谷號」，其內部特殊的船體構造，讓人能充階體會 到當時探測冰天雪地南極大陸的艱辛情境，非常適合父母帶小孩來此參觀學習。
